Listed below are tips that will help you have effective virtual lessons and recitals

Enable Original Sound in zoom

Original sound allows you to preserve the sound from the microphone of your device. Zoom’s echo cancellation feature is enabled by default which hinders the quality of music playback over Zoom.

OPTION 1: Enable Original Sound before you join a meeting

Desktop Client

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Select Settings settings-button__1_.png on the right.
  3. In the navigation menu, click Audio audio-button.png.
  4. Under Music and Professional Audio, select the Show in-meeting option to enable “Original Sound” check box then exit out of the settings window.
  5. Select Original Sound in the top left to Toggle the Original Sound on or off.

Mobile App

  1. Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
  2. In the bottom right tap More more-button.png.
  3. Under Settings select Meetings.
  4. Toggle on or off Use Original Audio in the top.

OPTION 2: Enable original sound while in a meeting

Desktop Client

  1. In the bottom left, select the up arrow next to the audio icon.
  2. Select Audio Settings
  3. In the navigation menu, click Audio audio-button.png.
  4. Under Music and Professional Audio, select the Show in-meeting option to enable “Original Sound” check box then exit out of the settings window.
  5. Select Original Sound in the top left to Toggle the Original Sound on or off.

Mobile App

  1. Tap the back arrow in the top left.
  2. In the bottom right tap More more-button.png.
  3. Under Settings select Meetings.
  4. Turn on Use Original Audio in the top.
